George Eiskamp has a successful track record commercializing new sensor systems. He began his career in business management and strategic marketing consulting at Bainbridge.
He was one of the early employees of Awarepoint, where he led early stage sales, marketing and installation of active RFID location systems and helped the company win the 2005 Connect “Most Innovative New Product” Award and raise venture capital.
Mr. Eiskamp later co-founded and ran CarCode Corporation where he brought the first portable license plate recognition system to market and licensed key technology from the University of California, San Diego Technology Transfer Office. CarCode was acquired by a major toll road management company in 2009.
Later, at QUASAR Federal Systems, he led the productization of a new class of marine electromagnetic receivers for offshore oil exploration that won a 2010 R&D 100 Award. In 2011 and 2013 he raised two rounds of financing from the Tech Coast Angels (TCA), the largest angel group in the United States, and set fundraising records with the TCA in the process.
In 2012, he led efforts that won the Gold award at the World’s Best Technology competition and second place at the San Diego Venture Group business plan and quick pitch competition. George holds a Master’s of Pacific International Affairs from the University of California, San Diego.
